Job Description:

DevOps Engineer

DevOps engineer who will join the team which supports all software application responsible for research administration. Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues, developing monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance and configuration, implementing the fix for internally developed code (Python, C#, Javascript) performing SQL queries, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges, build and develop tools which will automate daily operational activities. Responsibilities also include working alongside development on updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems. This job requires you to constantly hit the ground running and your ability to learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks will define your success.

Experience:

• REQUIRED SYSTEMS EXPERIENCE WITH HURON RESEARCH SUITE, HURON CLICK, CLICK COMMERCE.
• Requires 5+ years of industry experience including 2 - 3 years of experience as DevOps.
• Software development background and scripting with one or more of the following languages: C#, Python, Javascript.
• Docker/containerization experience.
• Sound technical understanding and administration of Linux and Windows distributions.
• Experience supporting high availability internet application environments that include web, application and database servers.
• Working knowledge of web and application servers management and configuration.
• Experience with build and deployment automation tools such as Ansible, Chef or similar.
• Experience with build automation and configuration management tools.
