DevOps Software Engineer (Kafka) - Remote

At Intellibus, we are an innovative technology consulting firm made up of a team of passionate software engineers. We are currently seeking an experienced Kafka SRE who has a combination of technical, communication, and business knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Apache/Confluent Kafka
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• AWS
• Unix
• Jenkins
• Terraform
• Chef
• Marklogic
• RDBMS systems - particularly Oracle 11/12g

Role:

• Participate in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications both as an individual contributor and as a team member

• Leading in the identification, isolation, resolution and communication of problems within the production environment

• Leading developers and applying technical skills such as Apache/Confluent Kafka, Big Data technologies, Spark/Pyspark

• Design best approach suited for data movement from different sources to HDFS using Apache/Confluent Kafka

• Independent functional and technical analysis for major projects supporting several corporate initiatives

• Communicate and Work with IT partners and user community with various levels from Sr Management to detailed developer to business SME for project definition

• Performs code and unit testing for complex scope modules, and projects

Kafka Expectations:

• Kafka Connect using Schema Registry in a very high volume environment

• Kafka Brokers, Zookeepers, KSQL, KStream and Kafka Control Center

• Custom Connectors using the Kafka Core Concepts and API

• Kafka Rest Proxy

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
