(windows) DevOps Engineer - Cardiff - Initial 6 Month Contract - £500.00 Per Day

Our global clients have an immediate requirement for a DevOps engineer on an initial 6 month contract in Cardiff as they look to move towards AWS.
Your new role
You will be required to:
- To build & deploy DevOps solutions ranging from automating the service pipeline, app automation, implementing automated monitoring, and testing complex frameworks.
- To build & design application architecture, environment setup, integrates with Devtools/Middleware/3rd party applications, build & consume API's & embed configuration controls within services.
- Be prepared to be an active member of an Agile team and assist other areas when required.
What you'll need to succeed
You MUST have experience of:

- TFS
- Chef
- Ansible
- Vagrant
- Docker
- C# .NET
- PowerShell
- Jenkins DSL/Pipelines/Groovy
- SQL/Database languages
- Experience in managing server setup for IIS, MSSQL, Windows Services.
- Experience of DevOps activities (e.g. virtualization, build/deploy scripts and tools, etc.)
- Experience in automating configuration controls, user access controls, defining server level policies, defining roles.
- Understanding of building Infrastructure as code.
- Understanding of the importance of highly-redundant and failsafe systems
- Understanding of building CI seamless workflow on Jenkins/TFS or any other CI tool.
Desirable
- Understanding of containerising solution for web and app services.
- Familiarity with a variety of architectural patterns and approaches
- Test automation (functional with Gherkin/SpecFlow, Selenium, performance, etc.)
- Solutions / Application architecture and design
A DevOps engineer with a wealth of Chef experience would be highly desirable.
What you'll get in return
For this role I am able to offer a daily rate of up to £500.00.
