What we're looking for: We are seeking a talented individual who is interested in an outstanding opportunity to research, architect, and build research environments in public, private and hybrid clouds. The solution will help doctors better understand, diagnose, monitor, and treat COVID-19. We are looking for an amazing Engineer who will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and support of the product infrastructure. This is a consulting position under contract for 6-12 months.

What you'll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise systems running on Windows and Linux (Redhat or CentOS), that support external facing web services and applications
  • Work with developers and QA on design and deployment of CI/CD tools and processes and associated pipelines
  • Establish diagrams, documentation, dependencies of other services, develop monitoring and logging plans, and backups of all external-facing platforms, apps, and services
  • Develop runbooks for troubleshooting and restoring external-facing platforms and services
  • Conduct root cause analysis and after-action reports on any issue or downtime with external-facing platforms and services
  • Design, build, and maintain platforms, systems and services deployed on Google Cloud to support external-facing applications and services
  • Design and implementation for database technologies, both on-premise and in Public Cloud, that support external-facing applications and services
  • Responsible for security of platforms, systems and services deployed to support eternal facing web applications

What you'll need:

  • Equivalent industry experience or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering preferred
  • Experience with medical IT platforms including DICOM
  • Knowledge of FISMA security standards and guidelines
  • Experience working on an Agile team (either Scrum or Kanban)
  • Proven ability to manage time and comprehend the priority of both assigned and ad-hoc tasks
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work remotely
