- DevOps Engineer – ML and Cloud - Up to £550 per day - Remote working - 4 month contract
Working for a global Software Design company this is an amazing opportunity to join them as an experienced DevOps Engineer and help them drive forward in terms of using Machine Learning techniques and getting into the Cloud.
They are harnessing the power of Data Science and Machine Learning techniques to automate the design and verification of CPU/ GPU/ Accelerator hardware, to reduce time-to-market and enable more complex designs.
As part of our small, diverse, and multi-functional team of Hardware Engineering, Software tools / services, and Data Science experts, as a DevOps Engineer you will be helping to develop new and novel techniques that will accelerate and empower our Engineering teams to do their best work. Helping to generate the whole architecture.
You will:
- Develop MLOps pipeline for Engineering functions - Deploy ML/DS pipelines into production on live projects; - Build and maintain parts of an MLOps system that enables CI/ CD of ML pipelines and models; - Build and maintain custom interfaces to EDA tools, testbenches and data stores.
You will:
- Work across all aspects of the software lifecycle whilst being supported by, and learning from, the rest of the team; - Contribute effective, performant, and scalable code into production; - Analysing and improving the performance, architecture, and resilience of ML applications and their deployment infrastructure; - Gathering requirements for new features and updating stakeholders on progress.
Essential Skills & Qualities
- Ideally a relevant degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar - Expert in using LINUX/UNIX environment (shell programming / scripting) - Expert in integration technology and automation and high proficiency in python - Expert in creating/maintaining dev Ops pipelines
- Demonstrable knowledge of Python (including OOP, async / multithreading, profiling); - Demonstrable experience of shell programming / scripting in a UNIX environment; - Experience of software delivery practices including Git and CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins); - An understanding of DevOps / MLOps topics; - You have a creative and structured approach to problem-solving, including debugging; - You are eager to contribute to a collaborative and open team culture; - You have excellent communication skills and are able to present results in a concise manner to technical & non-technical audiences.
