DevOps Engineer (Remote)

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain build and deployment scripts in CI/CD framework/tools to automate and streamline deployment processes.
• Drive the DevOps team toward automation and deployment best practices.
• Partner with the software architect and development teams in designing DevOps processes that help achieve team goals.
• Produce and maintain documentation on installations, procedures, and requirements for systems.
• Monitor applications
• Research, suggest, and implement new technologies, strategies, and ways to solve technical issues.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on expertise on any public cloud provider(Google Cloud/AWS/Azure)
• Excellent programming skills, such as Java and Python
• Hands-on expertise in Docker and Kubernetes
• Good understanding of microservice architecture and deployment process
• Experience in building end to end ci/cd pipelines using Jenkin, Nexus, Docker registry, Helm
• Hands-on expertise in infrastructure as code technologies, such as Terraform, Packer
• Jenkins Administration, Jenkins Docker as well as Jenkins HA skills
• Hands-on expertise in any configuration management tool like Ansible, Puppet, Chef
• Experience working in a highly agile environment and multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in monitoring tools like New Relic, Sumo Logic, Prometheus.
• Experience in configuring SQL & NoSQL database
• Experience in configuring messaging system like Kafka, Zookeeper
• Experience in working closely with the development team and troubleshoot application issues
• Basic understanding of networking & security
• Experience in administering and supporting CentOS-based and Windows-based environments

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
