DevOps Engineer (github bot, slack bot, AWS) (Remote)

We are seeking talented devops engineers to join our team of collaborators. We build a wide variety of projects for our tech-focused clients. Projects range from one-page data visualizations to API integrations (Slack bots, Github apps, etc.) to full developer platforms. If you are a devops engineer with a passion for building beautiful applications we would love to have you join us.

This project will focus on integrating a set of isolated tools to automate a permission workflow.
Here are the working parts:

• Github bot
• Slack bot
• Identity management API
• Custom serverless application using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3

How We Work...

We embrace the distributed network, encourage working remotely, and have collaborators across the nation. You would be working under our Director of Technology and work remotely with the occasional face-to-face meeting.

Our team is comprised of a tight network of A-team contractors. This position will be a short-term contract-based engagement with the potential to continue.

Responsibilities:

• Be an active member of a cross-functional agile team composed of product managers, designers and developers

• Develop a Github bot and contribute to serverless development
• Participate in code reviews
• Contribute to culture that encourages learning, strong standards, and quality code
• Invest in testing and documentation

Requirements:

• 3+ years professional engineering experience
• Experience creating Github bots
• Experience with serverless architecture
• Understand asynchronous and event driven programming
• Good communication skills and comfortable in a highly collaborative environment
• Independent time management skills
• Ready to learn new skills and domains, and excited to solve problems

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $100.00 to $150.00 /hour
