DevOps Engineer - Docker, Kubernetes, React, Python, Linux,... (Remote)

ADARMA are seeking a contract DevOps Engineer to work with our tier one banking partner on a large programme of work, The position is based remotely with longer term travel to an office location in either London, Edinburgh or Leeds (other locations considered).

Please note that the successful applicant would be expected to engage via an FCSA approved umbrella company for the duration of this contract.

Requirements:
Essential Skills

• React
• Python - experience with Flask and Requests libraries
• Docker - building and debugging images (including multi-stage builds)
• Kubernetes - ability to develop, deploy and debug and create and maintain Helm charts.
• Knowledge of best practices for REST APIs (i.e. POST vs PUT, HTTP status codes)
• Basic networking
• Basic Linux usage (ssh, scp, cron, vim)
• git
• Istio - including knowledge of the main Istio components and the ability to debug connectivity issues
• Ability to understand and develop according to best practices.
• Show desire to research existing standards when implementing new technology and – if none exist – be able to design and develop reusable, software-agnostic interface standards.

Desirable

• Graph QL
• Experience developing microservices
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure - Azure, GCP, AWS
• Data ingestion pipeline experience - Apache Nifi and Kafka
