DevOps (DevSecOps) Engineer (Remote)

U.Group was recently awarded a project to provide development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) services that include artificial intelligence / machine learning (AI/ML) to support an office within the Department of Homeland Security. On this team, you will be operating and modernizing complex, legacy, large-scale, Internet facing websites and IT systems in the cloud using forward-thinking, modern, open source technologies and backend system. You will perform the full suite of DevSecOps tasks in AWS cloud environment using agile methodologies, including participating in creating user stories for both business functionality and technical requirements and defining, but not limited to acceptance criteria; estimating the size of stories; designing solutions including business/system/data architecture.

U.Group is looking for an experienced DevSecOps engineers who have experience in configuration management, operational monitoring, and/or Cloud Proficiency. Junior leve candidates would have strong experience in one of these three, while Principal level candidates should have strong experience in all three. Continuous monitoring of team needs will lead to training opportunities to advance your level within the team over this 3 year client contract period.

Operational Monitoring experience in:

Cloud watch or cloud trial

ELK stack or splunk

Time series databases and/or capacity management

Configuration Management

Experience with cloud formation or terra form

Linux or Unix (bash scripting)

Continuous integration tools: presently on Jenkins, moving to Concourse

Cloud proficiency in IaaS od PaaS

Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

ECS, Kubernetes, Openshift

Have at least one popular open source project in Github

Due to nature of our work, a US Citizenship and ability to obtain a clearance
