DevOps Developer

You will work with our wider team on multiple work-streams, providing expert technical direction and insight on the projects being undertaken within our organisation. You will support IT staff to ensure that code releases and various deployments and fixes are applied to the highest standard, improving our overall ability to meet our users' needs and experience.

What you will do

  • Provide expert guidance and insight into deliverables and providing the technical direction of various code deployments and releases

  • Assist with deploying updates and fixes, identifying and resolving technical issues

  • Improve the unit testing framework

  • Investigate new technologies and work with the wider team to support their review and deployment

  • Manage your tasks and their priorities with feedback and review from a supportive team

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A strong background working with Azure DevOps

  • Experience writing CI / CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins

  • Good knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript design patterns

  • Strong understanding of coded test principles including unit testing

  • Previous experience working in a Microservice Architecture

  • Good understanding of Git and its branching strategies
