Desktop Support Engineer Overview
This role will see you deploy Windows 10 and Office 365 as part of a planned laptop refresh program for our client.
This will involve: uploading building laptops and desktops images, Installing & re installing desktops and setting up local area networks. It will also involve doing basic hardware repairs/ upgrades on desktop/ laptop top assets including fixing screens, keyboards, adding memory etc.
The Ideal Desktop Support Engineer will have the following skills and experiences;
- Good technical understanding of Windows 7, 10
- Office 2013/2016/365
- Knowledge of SCCM, application deployment and OS builds
- Good knowledge of 0365 - OneDrive, Teams, Sway, Skype, Outlook
Responsibilities
- Providing an excellent customer service through strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Building, imaging, and deploying laptops and desktops
- Prioritise tasks independently without escalations in a busy environment
- Managing and closing support tickets according KPI/SLAs
- Constantly seeks to improve technical knowledge and researches new product capabilities
