Looking for a Denodo developer for one of our clients, the candidate has to be on our W2. No c2c

Roles and Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will be responsible to design, build, test and release code and applications that enable easy data access to our customers. You will be working cross-functionally with Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Engineering teams to design and implement the Data platform.
  • Work with backend software engineers to build efficient and scalable reporting solutions that tap into our databases.
  • Work with other teams to build data pipelines and services that can be used by other applications.
  • Develop Virtual Databases (VDBs), data source connections, views and web services in the Denodo Virtual DataPort
  • Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions.
  • Willing to learn and adopted new technologies in short period of time as required by the Project
  • Capability to be design solutions for complex projects.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Data Engineer with strong software engineering skills
  • Programming languages/scripts: C++, C, Java, Ada, Jovial, SQL, Perl, Objective-C, Swift, JavaScript, HTML
  • Working knowledge of the UNIX platform, iOS, Denodo, BitBucket, Jira, Rational Rose, UML, ClearCase, Eclipse, Telelogic Doors, Xcode
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in programming and debugging
  • Ability to drive to decisions and consider the consequences
  • Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis
  • Microsoft Office skills (including Word, Excel, and Access)

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Build Management and Continuous Integration tools like Maven, Jenkins
  • Hands-on development experience using Docker and Container Orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
  • Experience working with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Education:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, or other IT degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Engineering, math, and/or science degrees are acceptable substitute degrees.
  • The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Suitability/Public Trust Background Clearance
