TCI has an immediate need for a Database Server Administrator at Fort Knox, KY. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the probability of extensions. THIS IS LOCAL REMOTE WORK WITH SOME ON-SITE AS NEEDED.
SUMMARY
- The Database Server Administrator will be responsible for ESB IBM InfoSphere Federated Server Administrator and DB2 for Linux, Unix, and Windows Database Administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Production Support for ESB Databases and Automated Federated Jobs.
- Attend client meetings for initiatives and interfaces with system, database, network, and backup administrators to ensure project milestones are met.
- Tools used include: IBM DB2 for Linux, Unix, and Windows, Infosphere Federated Server, Data Direct ODBC and IBM MQ.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Installation and Configuration of ESB DB2 Instances, Databases, and Objects.
- Strong knowledge of Federated Connections to Oracle, MSSQL Server and MVS Datacom disparate remote data sources.
- Experience with Implementing backup/recovery strategy, performance tuning, implement database security, maintain current major/minor software releases in an Enterprise Environment.
- Develop SQL, Stored Procedures, and User-Defined Functions.
- Develop KORN Shell scripts to automate SQL data extract from disparate data sources and send pass/fail notifications.
- Create MQ Monitors to deliver data extract to client destination.
- MUST currently possess a CompTIA S+ Certification or have the ability to obtain one prior to start.
- Must currently possess a DoD Secret Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain one prior to start (Must be a US Citizen). TCI will assist with clearance application or transfer.
