Database Administrator (DBA)

The Company:  Async-Nu Microsystems is looking for a Database Administrator to support a potential contract with the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA).

This is a full-time position with benefits. The position is remote; however, you should be local to the DC/MD/VA area.

The Background: DeCA is looking for their OneNet and Commissaries.com websites to meet their technical and operational support requirements in support of the Agency’s mission. The scope of this task order will be to provide process and website improvements as well as new programming. The expected range of services will include: sustainment services, development services, and program management.

The Position: We are looking for a Database Administrator who will be responsible for the development, performance, integrity and security of a database. You will be involved in the planning and development of the database, as well as in troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.

The Database Administrator will possess expert technical knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in all phases of database development, coding, and design, including business analysis, event modeling, logical and physical database design, data access analysis and design, DBMS optimization, archive and recovery strategy, load strategy design and implementation, security, and change management, infrastructure design and implementation.

Qualifications:

· A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the design, maintenance, and coding of databases;

· A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in database administration

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or similar from an accredited university

· Knowledge of database queries, design, and theory

· Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)

• Servers – Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2. Virtualized on ESXi 6.0 with vSphere. Underlying virtualization hardware: HP C-class blade servers with EMC Clarion Storage Area Network. Veeam, VERITAS Netbackup.
• Application Server Platforms – Oracle Fusion Middleware 12.2 (Webcache/Apache/WebLogic), Resource Scheduler v12, Internet Information Services (IIS) 8.5, Macromedia Cold Fusion 2016, SharePoint Server 2016.

Preferred Qualifications

· Database Administrator Certification (Oracle DB Certified Associate, Oracle DB Certified Professional, or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA))

· CCNA Security, CySA+ **, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, and/or SSCP certifications (required)

Active DoD Clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD clearance

Position is contingent on final contract award.
