BAINOM is a web-based platform for health care professionals and individuals that turns biomedical, genomic and other “omics” data into practical knowledge for personalized medicine and lifestyle choices.
BAINOM uses cloud-based machine learning to provide information intuitively, quickly, and without the need for technical expertise. BAINOM aims to become the GPS for personalized medicine in the constantly expanding genomic and biomedical big-data landscape.
We are looking for a Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer who can support development of our data standardization, analyses, visualization, machine-learning-based matching algorithms.
Responsibilities:
- Clearly communicate roadblocks, issues and limitations during algorithm development and implementation.
- Recommend creative solutions to build and further develop the product platform.
- Identify and implement the most suitable machine learning strategies.
- Aid in algorithm development for data extraction, standardization, visualization and analyses.
- Work closely with the Founders and Software Engineering team.
- Work closely with other data scientists, machine learning and AI specialists and help in creating a robust technical team.
Requirements:
- Proficiency/experience in development and deployment of data analytic web apps using Dash, Plotly,
Flask, DynamoDB and/or Heroku into dynamic servers (e.g. Amazon Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon Lambda etc.).
- Experience in developing machine learning algorithms in an applied field (ideally healthcare or related applications).
- Expert/Intermediate level knowledge of three or more of the following: Java, Java script, Python, R, C#,
Ruby, Spark, Tensorflow, Theano. Knowledge of python modules (e.g. Matplotlib, Seaborn etc.) is desirable.
- Experience with multiple ML platforms to process structured and unstructured data.
- Familiarity with ML techniques including Multiple Linear (non-linear) Regression, Logistic Regression,
Decision Trees, Vector Machines, Neural networks, Supervised/Unsupervised Learning.
- BS (with 4+ years of demonstrable experience) or MS or higher in Applied Mathematics, Data Science,
Computer Science or similar field with advanced coursework.
Compensation is negotiable.
