Data Engineer (AWS Glue Java Python Linux) *UK Remote Contract WFH 6 months*. Technologist Data Engineer sought by global FinTech for a six month remote contract within the UK (Belfast office).
As a Data Engineer you will be developing a variety of trading and post-trade solutions, supporting exchange and clearing; delivering systems that provide low latency performance, big data scalability, reliability and integrity, all while undergoing rapid release cycles.
You'll be hands on with detailed design and architecture plans for complex, large scale efforts within a multi-cloud environment; partaking in code reviews and defining key metrics for optimisation and re-factoring to drive continual improvements.
The company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process, six month contract (PAYE) and remote working from anywhere within the UK.
Requirements:
*Strong Data Engineering with experience of AWS pipeline and big data services including AWS Glue
*Ability to code with Python and / or Java and a good knowledge of Linux OS
*Experience of architecting enterprise software applications
*CI/CD experience with an understanding of IaC / DevOps
*Collaborative with good communication skills
