Data Engineer (AWS Glue) (Remote)

My client are global fintech giants and are now in search of a Data Engineer (AWS Glue) Consultant to help deliver systems that must achieve low latency performance with big data scalability. The successful Data Engineer (AWS Glue) should be able to build AWS pipelines and understand clusters.

The successful Data Engineer should have experience with AWS Glue. The appointed Data Engineer will help to populate my client's data lake and also manage the consumption of data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hands on with detailed design and architecture plans for complex, large scale efforts within a multi-cloud environment.
  • Assists with system design, working with the various teams to build fit for purpose platforms.
  • Works ahead - ensuring the architecture is responsive to evolving needs.
  • Works with the enterprise architecture team, to gain an understanding of the evolving enterprise, to make efficient decisions on application architecture, and priorities.
  • Applies expert knowledge of cloud technologies, java language, DBMS and middle-ware technologies in independently designing and developing key services.

    • THE IDEAL PERSON

  • Bachelor's degree (with honours) or equivalent/better strongly preferred, but substantial relevant experience could substitute
  • Experience in python, Java, Linux, AWS Glue
  • Experience architecting enterprise software applications
  • Experience in developing and automating solutions directly related to Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery and infrastructure automation

    • REMUNERATION

    £500-650 a day
    FULLY REMOTE (NI & GB Only)
    6m+ contract
