Data Developer (Remote)

We're looking for a Data Developer (Mid level) for an important hands-on role. Will be part of a Data Architecture team responsible for all aspects of data platform development. Will contributes to the full software development life cycle, including design, data modeling, application development, refactoring, data migrations, code reviews, unit testing, performance tuning, deployment activities, and post-deployment support.

Responsibilities:

-Provide a critical role in a highly agile scrum environment working against light requirements

-Implement physical data models in SQL Server, Postgres, AWS Redshift, and NoSQL platforms (MongoDB)

-Participate as an active member of the team to shape Data Architecture standards and vision

-Implement processes for database code deployment and synchronization across environments

-Code review and provide constructive feedback on database changes from engineers

-Provide technical leadership and mentoring on database technologies and issues to engineers

-Champion initiatives around data quality and data integrity

-Develop stored procedures

-Work with DBA team to identify database and storage bottlenecks, propose design solutions, and tune queries

-Ensure correct source-to-target mappings and transformations between OLTP systems and data warehouses

-Participate in story writing, grooming, and estimating level-of-effort

Specific Requirements:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

-3+ years of full life cycle database development experience in a hands-on role, including writing stored procedures

-Fully Bilingual

Experience:

-Skills with Embarcadero ER/Studio, Erwin, or other data modeling tool for OLTP systems

-Expert in data modeling for relational and document-based data stores, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models

-Guides teams through the complete software development life cycle–from concept to delivery

-Demonstrated leadership in root cause analysis and risk mitigation
