We are looking for a dedicated Data Analytics Consultant to join our global client on a contract basis.
PLEASE Note: Inside of IR35 (£500 per day)
This is a high impact role within the Tax technology team and will report to the Senior Analytics Manager.
Day to day
Maintain complex VAT processes involving check for seller non-compliance, automated seller actions and Reporting Gather business requirements for VAT Process automations and data analysis Develop data algorithms and implement them Implement, review and optimize reporting processes and data analytics Data visualization and analysis Automate manual processes for the Tax team Maintain a close and pro-active relationship with other business functions like Customer Services, Legal and Finance teams in respect of issues identified during the reporting and compliance process Participate in accurate and timely data preparation for data reporting obligations and submission to tax authorities and ensure that eBay fulfills the requirements to avoid joint and several liability for VAT
Job requirements Excellent technical skills for data analysis and process development, especially Teradata or Spark SQL Experienced in handling big data (Hadoop, Teradata, etc.) Proficient in data visualization tools like Tableau Proficient in Excel Experience in Alteryx would be an add-on Agile experience Ability to translate commercial requirements into software solutions Capable to work independently while acting as part of a global tax team
Basic Qualifications 8-10 years' hands-on experience in data analytics Proven knowledge in SQL programming language
