We've been onboarding some big clients and specifically need an experienced C++ and Python Developer, preferably with Computer Graphics skills (OpenGL, Vulkan).
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a hands-on technology leader to help bring our product to maturity, support our aggressive growth plans, manage and direct all development activity and communicate and develop roadmaps leading development for IM Your Doc into the future. During interviews we intend to discuss the option of split payment between an hourly rate and equity ownership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and mentor developers working on platforms including: PHP, iOS, Android, and web (Java servlets/Spring).
- Oversee and assist other product team resources including staff and/or contract quality assurance, design, server administration, etc.
- Production support, including leading efforts to diagnose customer issues in a multi-platform, distributed environment.
- Serve as Product Manager, translating customer requests and business directives into User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, etc. that technical staff can take action on.
- Grow & refine the team. As our business grows, we expect we will need to hire additional permanent resources and contract out some projects to appropriate specialists. You will take the leading role in shaping the technology team as it evolves.
TECHNICAL + LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of experience in software development, a majority of that in mobile or distributed systems
- 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role (Need not be a titled Manager; could be a team lead, Principal Engineer, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or similar person with software team leadership responsibilities)
- Capable hands-on software engineer in at least two of the following: iOS (Swift or Objective-C), Android (Java), Web development (Ruby, PHP, Java Spring, etc. in combination with React, AngularJS, etc.) server management (Openfire, Tomcat)
- Ability to review code
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Startup experience (must have)
- Knowledge/experience with backend infrastructure (nice to have)
- Interacted with investors/been through acquisition (nice to have)
- Healthcare experience (nice to have)
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical people
- Ability to deal with new tasks without detailed direction or benefit of precedent
- Approachable, flexible, creative, and resourceful. Has a knack for addressing the challenges presented in a lean startup environment
