Crème de Mint is on the hunt for an experienced Web Developer to join our team. The Web Developer is a Part-Time, Remote Based, Project Based position.

Our agency provides Wordpress and Shopify website design, development and on-going site management for our clients. Crème de Mint serves a wide variety of industries including food, beverage, cosmetics, supplements and wellness industries.

This is a US based role, we will not consider freelancers outside the US. We are looking for an individual not another agency.

EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate for this position is a professional and energetic team player who is experienced, will provide quick and accurate responses, and provide creative input to help advance client’s brands and ensure excellent service.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven 5+ years of professional experience in an agency or production environment
  • Expert in e-commerce experience in Wordpress and ShopifyProficiency in MYSQL, HTML, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, LESS, PHP, Javascript, JQuery and Wordpress development
  • Experience with Node and NPM (preferred)
  • Experience in fluidity and breakpoint responsiveness; design for mobile and tablet devices
  • Development for cross-browser compatibility (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE, etc.) Expert in testing in all browsers and devices
  • Must be responsive and accurate and always meet deadlines
  • Must be very organized, punctual, and detail oriented -- quality and precision-focused
  • Extensive experience helping clients build and optimize their Shopify stores
  • Portfolio or website that proves you have Shopify Development experience
  • Must be able to respond to clients within one business day and take direction well.
  • Must have strong English and communication skills
  • Motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming
  • Ability to test and QA code prior to development
  • Ability to write, debug, and test JavaScript
  • Ability to create clean, reusable pieces of code
  • Experience WordPress, creating custom child themes, and custom fields
  • Thorough functional knowledge and coding experience
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with others in a cross functional team, as well as work independently
  • Experience with any of these disciplines is a plus but not a requirement: Information Architecture, SEO, Compliance Standards, Web Security, Photoshop, Figma/Invision, Web Design, Domain Management, G Suite, and Email Development
  • Plugins including Contact Form 7, Yoast SEO, WooCommerce & woocommerce extensions including subscription, membership, and bookings
  • In addition, this developer should have expert knowledge in designing high quality websites using design tools like PhotoShop so that the look and feel is unique to each client matching their logo and company brand while using the Avada theme as the foundation for the page layout and structure.
  • Knowledgeable of SEO and SEM best practices

What you will do:

  • Participate on an initial kick-off call to review the Website Creative Brief with the Web Team Account Manager
  • Create the overall web design strategy implementing call-to-actions and lead generation tactics
  • Develop a wire-frame, discuss page design layouts and quality navigation structure
  • Ensure the site is mobile friendly and has a responsive design
  • Install social media sharing plugins and social media icons
  • Integrate the site with an email newsletter signup form
  • Integrate contact forms, security plugins, seo plugins and caching plugins
  • Transfer all existing content & images from current website
  • Provide 1 hour training & training video to the client and any admins on how to use the site
  • Work within Wordpress CMS Framework, CSS compilers, Git repositories / version control, and Google Analytics
  • Standard Coding, Maintenance, and General Troubleshooting of client websites
  • Monitor page performance and results
  • Identify and evaluating site improvement options and functionalities

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $38.00 - $55.00 per hour
