Graphic Designer with Motion Design Experience

Our agency is looking for a junior-level motion designer with a strong background in graphic/communication design and typography. The ideal candidate finds joy in bringing ideas to life from scratch with movement while being meticulous with details.
If you find yourself constantly critiquing poorly kerned type on a restaurant menu or you've watched every single Video Copilot tutorial... you might be the right fit for us. Here you'll make ads and content for some of the biggest names in entertainment as well as many other businesses.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, animate, and edit both static and motion-based graphics including: Lower thirds, GIFs, Cinema-graphs, whole stories told through motion graphics and other needs for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions with creative leadership.
- Clearly articulate creative process, thoughts, ideas and a point of view about the work.
- Help elevate art and find creative and visual solutions across various campaigns.
- Keep up with the latest trends of creative and technology in the social and digital space.
- Solid understanding of the production process.
- Must be flexible, deadline-driven and able to confidently deliver graphics with complete accuracy.
Wish List:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Photography, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred
- 3-4+ years of graphic design experience (including college)
- 1-2+ years of experience as a motion graphics designer in an advertising or entertainment company (including college)
- 1-2+ years of editing experience is a plus
- After Effects mastery and proficiency in other motion graphics programs
- Confident Premiere Pro skills and proficiency
- Strong understanding of post-production workflows and finishing needs
- Adobe creative applications. Strong sense of motion, visual design and typography
- Solid understanding of editing techniques. Interest in gaming, social media, and/or internet culture a huge plus. Excellent organization and file management.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for pop culture
- Ability to multitask and handle meeting tight deadlines
- Creative with a sense of humor.
- Learn quickly and have the ability to work independently
- A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly.
- Flexible hours – able to work on occasional weekends and during peak holiday season in the evenings.
- Ability to articulate the brand ‘voice’ in a creative and witty way.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

- Collaborate with marketing teams and management to discuss which mockups are effective, and use their feedback to develop final drafts
- Revise the work of previous designers to create a unified aesthetic for our brand materials
- Work on multiple projects at once, and consistently meet draft deadlines
- Communicate frequently with clients to update them on the progress of the project and to answer any questions they might have
- Other duties as requested
