Contract Web Designer (Remote)

CONTRACT WEB DESIGNER
Popmenu clients want to present their restaurant's story in the most visually compelling way, and we are here to help them achieve that goal. Strong client growth and expanding product capability are driving our search for skilled, coachable, enthusiastic designers to join the family and gain real-world experience in web design, web development, marketing, and SaaS operations. This is an entry-level role and will be executed virtually with the ability for flexible hours. Strong performers may have the opportunity for a full-time salaried role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute detailed configuration of client websites & menu interface, primarily through controls in our own SaaS application but also through light HTML/CSS
• Use design knowledge and skills to accurately match websites to current client branding and/or desired branding
• Seek and react to client and team feedback before deploying live
• Work within company process for onboarding, signaling to the organization as significant steps are achieved
• Be enthusiastic about food, restaurants, our clients and our mission to help restaurants better convey their story in a noisy digital world

REQUIREMENTS

• An eye for design and detail
• Experience manipulating HTML/CSS on a basic to intermediate level to achieve desired user interface
• Examples of outcomes in graphic design/UX/UI (work, school, projects, anything)
• Comfort with Adobe CC and Chrome DevTools
• Love of food, restaurants and food culture
• Ability to work at least 20 hours per week
• Ability to work fully remote and without direct supervision
