job summary:
Our client is in search of a Coldfusion Developer to join their team. This opportunity is a fully remote 6 month contract with the possibility for long term extension. This person will provide Coldfusion Development and Support for the migration of legacy applications to cloud instances from on prem.

responsibilities:
Required Skills/Experience:

· 5+ years as a ColdFusion Developer; coding, designing, and optimizing enterprise web applications and web services

· Experience creating Object-Oriented ColdFusion applications.

· Experience with scripting languages JavaScript, PowerShell, bash as well as .CSS, XML, JSON, SQL, and HTML.

· Demonstrable understanding of database design and strong knowledge of writing and working with SQL Queries.

· Experience with IIS configuration and cloud-based servers.

· Develop new applications and enhancements while supporting existing applications.

· Fix production issues when they arise and support during deployment windows.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate progress daily.

· strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team environment.

Desired Skills/Experience:

· Nice to have 1-5 years of experience using C# and ASP.NET

· Nice to have 1-2 years of experience with Angular, React

· Designing, developing, and deploying microservices architecture.

· Experience with containerization and container orchestration engines like Docker, Kubernetes.

· Experience within Azure/AWS cloud environment, familiar with Azure App Services, functions, SQL, DevOps, AD

· Fundamental knowledge of software best practices, agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines.

· Experience in SCM tools such as JIRA, GIT, and GitLab.

· Experience or familiarity with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation
