Cloud Systems Engineer – Azure/Azure DevOps/Terraform/Datadog OR New Relic

URGENT CONTRACT ROLE TO BEGIN IN AUGUST FOR 3/6 MONTHS, INITIALLY REMOTE

  • 3/6 month contract position available for immediately available/Short notice candidates.

  • Cloud Systems Engineer – AWS/Azure DevOps/Terraform/Config Management/Datadog
  • Day rate; £390 - £415 per day (outside of IR35)
  • Fully remote opportunity (will return to office once reopened).

    • Immediate requirement for a Cloud Systems Engineer to work with multiple award winning Digital Agency, based in the county of Leicestershire, Leeds and London, will be fully remote for the first few months, as the office reopens this role will move to be office based.

We have a multi-platform DevOps team that we are looking to expand with two Cloud Systems Engineers.

    What will the role entail?

    We are trying to streamline our Cloud capabilities, using modern tools to change our processes for our clients. We are looking to bring in an experienced contractor to assist the DevOps and SRE teams on delivering our clients safe, accurate services, ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within budget. Day to day tasks will include creating pipelines, Infrastructure Design and Monitoring, CI on the client side.

    Essential skills:

  • Azure DevOps as well as good knowledge of Azure.
  • Proficient commercial experience with Terraform
  • Monitoring Tools (Datadog, New Relic or Application insights)
  • A wide range of Infrastructure/Automation and Monitoring tools in general.
  • A Good understanding of Systems Architecture and Infrastructure as a whole.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Desirable skills:

  • Hands on software engineering knowledge with one or more languages (Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Java or C#)
  • Azure or AWS certifications
  • Previous experience on working on IAAS projects .
  • Using Azure IaC (ARM templates)
  • Having worked within projects either generating business or client facing .
