Cloud Geospatial data engineer - Remote (MS2111)

Requirements:

Looking for high quality skilled individuals that have experience with big data geoscience and geospatial intelligence to support our work on environmental sustainability and conservation.

The position would be full time contract for a year, looking to start as soon as possible. We are open to any location but prefer to Western time zones

Required Skills:

• Cloud geospatial data pipeline engineer

• Responsible for on-boarding data to Azure
• Fluency with Python required
• Fluency with a cloud required (it doesn’t have to be Azure)
• Fluency with big data geospatial platforms strongly preferred

• Experience in geospatial intelligence/science Big Data
• Cloud – distributed computing frameworks (Kubernetes, Hadoop, Spark, Dask, Azure Batch, etc.) required, though not necessarily fluency in all of the above
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required for this role.
