The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer provides infrastructure configuration service to meet the infrastructure solutions prescribed by the Cloud Solution Design
The Engineer will configure solutions that align with technology strategy, architecture rules and standards and ensure correct integration of services in the infrastructure and the definition of remediation actions in case of incidents. Finally the Engineer should make use of automation of infrastructure orchestration and provisioning through infrastructure-as-a-code solutions.
Desirable Skills
- 5+ years release engineering, automation, or development experience
- Experience with private or public cloud technology
- Experience in configuring Cloud Services and building infrastructure solutions
- Strong communication skills
- Teamworking mentality and willingness to work jointly on coding activities
- Good 'customer' management skills, with active listening
- Experience working with IaaS and PaaS environment
- High level of proven delivery ability with AWS and Azure technologies
- Technical certification in AWS or Azure (e.g. MSCD, with MSCA or
Core Activities
Implement cloud service solutions to utilizing automated integration and testing tools for high rates of successful deployment
- Configure infrastructure resources with the appropriate parameters and manage their allocation to new services
- Integrate new services in the cloud infrastructures and integrate into existing monitoring tools
- Provide the technical cloud requirements for integrating a new service or evolving an existing service
- Monitor overall infrastructure performance
- Create infrastructure change orders for scheduled system
- Solicited in the escalation process of the incident management
- Responsible for issue management support
- Administrative support for AWS or Azure user or account management
- Production of billing or cloud usage reports
