Cloud Engineer (Remote)

As a Cloud Engineer at NTERSOL you will join our cloud team designing and implementing custom solutions for clients developing or deploying business applications to cloud environments. We love serverless technology, elegant automated infrastructure, and clean PaaS solutions but we work with clients to find the optimal solution for any challenge.

Qualifications

• Technical certifications: AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Windows, Kubernetes
• Experience with DevOps platforms: Azure DevOps, AWS Codestar, GitHub, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins
• Experience implementing infrastructure and configuration as code: Terraform, ARM templates, Cloudformation, Serverless Framework, SAM, CDK
• Experience operating cloud infrastructure in production
• Knowledgeable on pros, cons, and suitability of various PaaS and IaaS cloud solutions
• Expert understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS, Load Balancing, Proxying as it relates to application hosting
• Understanding of observability and experience implementing useful monitoring, alerts, and dashboards including metrics and trace data: Kibana, Splunk, Application Insights, Cloudwatch
• Competent in at least one scripting language: Bash, Python, PowerShell
• Experience with docker and containerized applications
• Able to share ideas through documentation and diagrams

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work on a consultative basis with various customers to design and implement cloud solutions
• Plan and perform on-premise to cloud migrations including lift and shift, hybrid, and greenfield designs
• Attend meetings and present ideas and designs across the spectrum of stakeholders from engineers to executives
• Implement pipelines for application build and deployment
• Create diagrams, charts and documentation of design choices to achieve customer buy-in and approval

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
