Cloud Engineer - GoLang, Python, Openshift, K8, Linux
A new contract opportunity currently exists within the engineering group at a leading investment bank. The group is responsible for driving the technology and engineering effort surrounding the use of containers to both internal and public cloud, as part of the Bank-wide CaaS Program. They are responsible for piloting and driving the deployment of containers to production for various teams across the Bank, as part of a trailblazing program that spans numerous teams and divisions across the Bank, globally.
This is an opportunity to work with a global team of experts that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical solutions and ensuring the highest levels of availability and performance. An opportunity to drive major architecture changes that provide a real value to entire Bank.
Projects starting in 2019 - Going live with Openshift/internal cloud and the external cloud later this year. Then application teams within the bank working with them to migrate their applications to containers.
The role will be involved in all the projects that the group is undertaking. Successful candidates must have the following skills:
