Cloud Architect (Remote)

As a Cloud Architect you are part of the Cloud Spurs team and help provide consultative, architectural, program and engineering support for our customers' journeys to the cloud. We support and encourage a collaborative approach to Cloud adoption, sharing best practices, helping change the culture of teams and strategic support to ensure success. Our Cloud Architects play a key role in designing and delivering innovative cloud solutions to our customers. We are looking for a Cloud Architect to drive the adoption of SpurForce services and to inspire customers to innovate using public cloud.

What you will be doing

  • Focus on one or more strategic customers to ensure successful delivery of engagement
  • Driving solution architecture and best practices by:
  • Contributing to SpurForce internal framework and tools
  • Author blogs, whitepapers and best practices guide
  • Mentor other fellow Cloud Architects
  • Implement PoC making use of innovative technology by evaluating trending technologies
  • Constantly investigating and evaluating industry trends
  • This is a client facing position working on client sites for possibly extended periods.

How do you you stand out?

  • Experience with architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting greenfield and/or migration projects using public cloud ( AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Deep technical experience in one or more of the following competencies:
  • Software design or development (continuous delivery/integration, adoption of DevOps practices)
  • Systems Operations / Management
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Infrastructure Design
  • Automation and System Orchestration
  • Experience driving discussions with senior personnel regarding best practices, project management and risk mitigation
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
  • You have experience with programming, preferably in Python, but at least, in a modern programming language such as Go, Ruby, Java, C++, Perl or .NET
  • Excellent communication and Customer facing skills
  • Undergrad or Masters in Engineering, Computer Science or a similar subject
