C# .Net Developer

About the team

The Deals Application Development Team is an exciting, fast-paced, and growing team focused on the technical and business requirements of the Deals arm of the PwC UK Business. The Deals line of service works with the types of situations you hear about regularly in the news and provide support, insight and analysis to the management, shareholders and financiers of business around the world.

The Deals Application Development Team form part of the wider Deals Technology team who are responsible for the use, adoption, and development of technology processes within the Deals Business. The successful candidate will be the ninth in a team of .NET Developers; and work alongside a wider department of Data Analysts, Systems Engineers, Project Managers, and Business Representatives. Additionally the team is closely supported by the firm's wider IT, Cloud, and Security departments; ensuring that we have the tools needed to perform our jobs to the best of our ability.

Based in central Bristol, the App Development team is formed of a group of like minded and friendly individuals who actively work together to solve the platform development challenges presented by the firm. The team has been working from home during the pandemic, in line with government guidelines, but this has not stopped the team from keeping in touch day to day. Morning team stand-ups still occur each day via video conferencing, and everyone keeps in touch via the firm's messaging system (dropping into adhoc video calls to help each other solve challenges whenever necessary). Before the pandemic work life balance was important to us, and it still is now.

You can expect a challenging and rewarding career that will provide you with opportunities to work with all areas of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new technologies, with access to industry leading technical training resources you will be both able and encouraged to further develop your skills and advance your career with a market leading employer.

Unlike many development teams, our team sits in an area of the office alongside the rest of the Deals staff teams and are encouraged to feel a part of the wider Deals Practice; meaning you will often know some of the local end users of your projects directly!

  • Testing applications (alongside QA) and implementing fixes/code refactoring as necessary

  • Producing technical documentation

  • Taking part in code reviews and providing input on architectural decisions.
