Big Data Engineer- initially 6 months- Atherstone, Warwickshire
Advantage Resourcing have a fantastic opportunity for a Big Data Engineer to join one of the world's biggest technology companies. This role is based in Atherstone, Warwickshire and there is a remote work possibility on an occasional basis. The length of the contract is initially 6 months with a view to extend and the rate is (£370-£424.24/day) (ltd) + Bonus ).
Key Responsibilities * Design, implementation and test for a range of data pipelines, applying structure to unstructured data and carrying out various transformations. * Configuration and set up of specific data services within Azure, to ensure suitability and alignment with the rest of the stack. * Documentation of architecture and data flows, ensuring a clear, maintainable stack going forward. * Responsibility for compliance with organizational policies and privacy requirements.
Technical Skills * Deep knowledge of SQL and Hive. * Relevant experience with Azure, specifically ADF, HDInsights, and Databricks. * Demonstrated experience with data infrastructure design * A self-starter who can effectively prioritize, manage time and work load. * A team player who can communicate effectively with other engineers and analysts.
