Client

A fast growing financial services client, require a ETL Developer to analyse, design, implement Markit EDM processes. Currently, the client has a cloud hosted version of Markit EDM which provides a foundation for processes and reporting across the organisation.

Responsibilities

Good understanding of financial instruments such as derivatives i.e. Securities, Stocks positions, Risk, and Performance
  • Implementing a full lifecycle development of data integration processes using Markit EDM and SQL Server 2016
  • Putting together Database modelling, schema designs and TSQL development
  • Developing and putting together data feeds for internal stakeholders, as well as developing UI elements for data quality purposes
  • Integrating bespoke database to the SalesForce CRM over a bespoke cloud hosting system

Cloud Security Architect | Wiltshire | £750pd

People Source Consulting are currently seeking an experience Security Architect, with experience in Cloud platforms to take on a 6 month (Likely to extend) contract with our client based in Wiltshire.

You will work closely with IT Security, cloud platform, application and infrastructure teams to advise across a broad range of cloud security areas. You will have strong analytical skills in order to articulate capability requirements, identify options, and design security solutions.

You will have knowledge and experience of securing enterprise and cloud technologies e.g. AWS, Business Platforms, Analytics & Big Data Platforms, Middleware & APIs, Databases and be able to implement accordingly. Working with the engineers you will help innovate and evolve the cloud platform security and compliance automation, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting and forensic solutions.

Competencies & Experience Required:

  • Contribute to a security roadmap for developing the platform security related solutions
  • Keep abreast with security developments in the IT industry
  • Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions. Azure and or AWS specific experience a bonus
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal organizations
  • Strong analytical skills in order to assess security vulnerabilities and design security solutions
*Excellent technical security skills * Enterprise technologies including platforms, middleware, databases, APIs, networks etc
  • Ideally have a security professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA etc
  • In-depth, hands-on working knowledge in application development with experience of application security, cryptography, identity and access management technologies and operational experience in a global organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of Information Security principles and management
  • Security certifications are a plus.
  • Hands on experience of application security and Secure Development Lifecycles and their application in an agile environment.
  • Experience in cloud security in both the Public Cloud space.
  • Strong knowledge of web application server security
  • Strong knowledge of OWASP, CVE, CWEand SANS CWE Top 10 Vulnerabilities, proactive controls and mitigation methods.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills (successfully lead and managed end-to-end technology services and or technology operations) with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise.
  • Experience of developing a people strategy, influencing stakeholders and decision makers, and executing decisions efficiently and consistently in the modern workplace.
  • Ability to lead and control programme and/or project management in the context of a significant amount of change.

Desirable Skills:

  • In-depth, multi skilled IT security experience in an enterprise environment
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced understanding in the field of Information Security in terms of both concepts and technology
  • Experience working with Cloud solutions and securing Amazon Web Services or and Azure Services
  • Strong understanding of the penetration testing lifecycle (scope, conduct, analysis, client delivery)
  • An excellent level of attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to articulate complex technical or sensitive issues to a wide audience is essential

This role is working within a cleared environment, and as such ideal applicants will hold current, valid SC or DV clearance. As a minimum, all candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance and willing to go through the process.

In this role you will work on a prototype (alpha) end to end digital service which allows users to submit a Subject Access Request, understand what information our client holds, how it is being used, and request changes in that data and how it is used; a centralised register for authorised users to record and Information Asset.

Your role will be to build software that supports user needs. Continually improve the service by identifying new tools and techniques, removing technical bottlenecks, and adapting and maintaining code
Skills and experience:

  • Experience working alongside a user researcher and technical architect using user centred design practices to ensure user stories and user research are at the heart of the product design
  • Proven ability to design services to meet valid user needs including planning, designing and conducting usability testing of prototypes
  • Proven experience in sue of industry standard web application technologies such as HTML, CSS, CS5, JAVA, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby and Python
  • Proven experience in use of service-based technologies such as SOAP, RESTful, APIs, XML messaging and JSON
  • Experience of working using Agile Methodology
  • Experience Delivering outputs in line with the Government Digital Service Standard, Government Digital Service Design Manual and Government Technology Code of Practice and assessment process

You will act as a key part of the Scrum team working closely with the development function on designing and creating state of the art platforms. We want pro-active self-starters that are excited to get involved on a £100M Greenfield project working in an Agile, SOA Middleware Environment.

You will be offered an initial 12 month contract with a further 12 months likely thereafter. The offices are based in London and as part of the team you will need to be onsite 5 days a week

The Role
