Backend Developer (Remote)

The Company:

Inirv is an IoT company building plug-and-play technology that brings safety and simplicity to the kitchen.

The Position:

This Lead Backend Engineer role will fill a key position in a small but growing team at Inirv. You will take loose requirements and develop and execute a plan. Our serverless platform is built on AWS. You will take over this platform, own it, and expand it. You will encounter new challenges in this position and must be comfortable and confident in finding ways to solve them. This position will be based in Denver, Colorado, but we will consider a remote location for the right candidate.

Requirements:

• Ability to work alone or on a small team without supervision
• Drive to make the kitchen better and more connected. You must love to cook.
• Experience on a backend platform (AWS, Azure, or similar)
• Enthusiasm to quickly adapt and learn new languages, services, etc.
• Experience in Python, Ruby, or Node.js
• Working knowledge of basic internet security techniques (TLS, certificates, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of databases
• Basic IoT exposure and excitement about Smart Home products
• Working knowledge of Git

The ideal candidate has one or more of these:

• You can build mobile apps or you want to learn quickly
• You can write high-quality C code
• You can write excellent documentation for an outward-facing API
• You are comfortable managing other Backend Developers when the team grows
