Azure DevOps Engineer
Azure DevOps Engineer required for a 6 month contract with a large Investment Bank.
You will be working closely with the team to set up automated deployment pipelines and working to reduce release cycle times. There is a lot of scope to shape the way that the Infrastructure is managed and have your input on key decisions made throughout the entire life-cycle of the product system. This is a brand-new function for the company so it's imperative that you can take the lead on all DevOps fronts.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Cloud focused DevOps contractor to make their mark in a Global organisation, adding value and consistency to the overall running of daily operations.
The ideal person will have experience of Cloud Formation, Azure DevOps, RDS scripting and will be passionate about continually adapting to new challenges and implementing improvements to process.
Key Responsibilities
** Liaising closely with the development and operations teams to assist and consult on design and ongoing development
** Setting up automated deployment pipelines and reducing release cycle times
** Evaluate, plan, integrate, and manage Cloud Infrastructure
** Deploy and Manage large automated Cloud environments
** Develop and design new process / procedure for wider business users
Key Skills and Experience
** Azure DevOps tool
** Microsoft Azure components
** Some knowledge of ASP .Net and C# programming, HTML / CSS/ JavaScript /PowerShell
** Working knowledge of deployment approaches
** CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps tool
** Containers have come to the forefront of DevOps technology; hence any knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes is most desirable
This is a fully remote contract and is Inside IR35.
For the right person, we have a day rate of £600 - £625 depending on your experience and what you can add to the project.
