REQUIREMENTS:

*The SysOps Engineer provides information technology support and administration. The successful candidate has demonstrated knowledge and experience working with all aspects of system and networking administration, including but not limited to provisioning, installation, configuring, operation, and maintenance of both the systems and applications in a hybrid cloud-based/on-premises environment.

• Responsible for executing, testing, and rolling out solutions to support the infrastructure, as well as infrastructure for individual projects and scenarios in the cloud.
• Coordinates with development and operations to ensure that requirements from development are understood and implemented as expected
• Coordinates with IT Vendors and ensures they are meeting expectations
• Implements services on a Cloud Platform and integrates them with back-office processes
• Manages issues in a ticket tracking system and assign priority
• Gathers requirements to define and take ownership a solution to be built and operated
• Provisions operate and maintains systems as part of a small team that operates to both deploy and maintain systems
• Work with other IT leaders and business stakeholders to understand the demand for Site Reliability Engineering services and develop a strategic vision to meet those demands.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Experience with Autoscaling, RDS, Aurora, PostgresSQL, ECS, S3, SQS, SES, SNS, Secrets Manager, Lambda, CloudWatch, Active Directory, CI/CD, containers at scale.
• Experience managing Postgresql, MySQL, Cogneto, IAM, VPC, EC2
• Deploying, managing, and operating scalable / highly available / fault-tolerant systems on AWS
• Migrating existing on-premise applications and services to AWS
• 3+ years of hands-on experience operating AWS-based applications
• Reasonably deep knowledge of Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Docker
• Proficient in modern scripting languages like Python or Ruby
• Infrastructure management tools like Terraform
• Experience DevOps tool such as Chef and Jenkins and BitBucket, GitHub, Maven, JIRA, Confluence, SonarQube, Docker
• Monitoring the availability, performance, and health of production systems in support of meeting service level objectives.
• Using automation and tooling to continuously improve the reliability, scalability and velocity of services deployed on AWS.
• Ability to thrive in a constantly changing technical environment with shifting priorities
• Experience with supporting mission-critical software
• Skill and drive to own and solve, complex issues with minimal oversight
• Deep understanding of AWS technologies and their interconnectivity, such Web Applications, Security, Networking, High-Performance Computing, Storage, Databases, Enterprise Applications, Migration Strategies or other solutions areas to understand our services.

Additional skills that are preferred:

• Extensive Experience with Terraform or other IaC
• Experience with Solaris OS
• Experience with AWS hybrid cloud environment
