AWS DevOps Engineer (Fully Remote)

Netwirking Recruitment are delighted to be working with an exciting new tech start-up with an excellent ethos helping keep technology safe for people to use. They are in search of a AWSDevOps Engineer (fully remote working) required to continue to build the AWS infrastructure.

This will initially be a 3 week contract then held on retainer for a couple of days per month ongoing.

The Company

They help people use technology in a safe, secure and healthy way - avoiding cyber bullying for kids, preventing fraud, securing social media, reducing digital distractions and screen-time and enabling productive remote working from home.

Featured on the likes of BBC News, Daily Mail, Woman & Home, they were one of six companies selected for the National Cyber Security Centre's (NCSC) O2 Telefonica Cyber Accelerator programme. They have closed their first round of funding, with their lead investor a chief exec of PayPal.

Tech Stack

Their web app is coded in JAVA (Backend) and Typescript and React (frontend) on AWS infrastructure. This role would not need to code, they have two frontend and one backend developer performing the coding in these languages.

What is the Role?

You'll be working alongside the CEO, you will be employee number 7. They already have the majority of our infrastructure and architecture set-up, you'll just need to continue to build the AWSsetup, ensuring it scales and manage the day-to-day running of each sprint.

Core Requirements

• Sprint management - able to cut tickets, create sprints and manage the dev team
• Docker and CI/CD pipeline mgmt

• GitHub Actions

• Cognito, SES and SNS

• Secrets Manager & KMS

• CloudWatch

An understanding of:

• VPC, Subnets and Security Groups.

• Elastic Load Balancer

• S3 & CloudFront (CDN)

• Elastic Container Services, combined with Fargate, Docker & Elastic Container Registry.

• DNS (e.g. CNAME edits) & SSL certs on AWS Certificates Manager
