Applications Administrator - Tableau

Futureheads are partnered with a global social media company in the search for an experienced Applications Administrator with strong Tableau experience.

This is an initial 12 month contract based out of their central London office, the ideal candidate will have strong scripting skills with Python and/or Shell (PHP and JavaScript skills would be an added bonus) along with sound SQL knowledge.

Applicants with automation experience using tools such as Chef, puppet or Ansible would be highly desirable however this is not essential.

Day to day duties include:

• Provide end user support for multiple enterprise applications (Tableau Server, Microstrategy, Digital Asset Management)
• Provide application specific infrastructure troubleshooting (VMs, IPs, system/network, firewalls)
• Provide application expertise and guidance for users and system engineers
• Join the team oncall rotation
• Collaborate, coordinate, contribute to platform integrations and operations
• Communicate with the engineering teams to understand roadmaps, implementing and planning for future product changes
• Monitor application health
• Participate in implementing quality improvements to maintain highly performant application

Skills required:

• 2+ years experience with Tableau Server administration, install, configuration, upgrade
• Experience in System administration (Windows and Linux)
• Experience with Scripting/Programming (Python, Shell, PHP, Javascript)
• Experience with SQL
• Detail oriented execution style, exceptional at multi-tasking and problem solving
• Communication and customer service skills
• Fast learner & Self- Starter
• Excellent written and verbal communication
