There are 2 opportunities available that should encompass approximately 500 hours over the next 9 months:
- Develop a new web-based application for a local company
- Extend and enhance an existing .net application with new requested functionality
This is a contract opportunity to work for an Application Development firm ... for 2 different clients. All work can be done remotely, with the occasional on-site collaboration meeting.
Primary Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the project manager, the .Net Developer designs, modified, develops, writes and implements software programming applications and components: supports and/or installs software applications and components; works from pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and maintains documents of process flow.
Skill Requirements:
- Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to SAP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET
- Design, code and test new Windows and we software applications
- Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvements
- Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
- Investigate and develop skills in new technologies
- Create technical specifications and test plans
- Uses DevOps software development methodology and best practices
- Familiar with source control and proper source control practices
Candidates ideally would possess 3-5 years of experience and/or bachelor’s degree in computer science; have the ability to work and consult with colleagues as well as individually; have the ability to consult and communicate closely with management/supervisor of the company
