Location: Sheffield with remote working

Duration: Initial 6-month contract

Ab Initio Developer (Hadoop) required to join a financial services client based in Sheffield with remote working on an initial 6-month contract with the view to extend. The role As part of this opportunity, you will be working on a complex project, involving Metadata auto-discovery, Hadoop Big Data Platforms.Responsibilities: As part of your role, you will be responsible for:

• Building a Metadata repository using Ab Initio products.
• Analysis, architecture, and implementation tasks in relation to data management, data extraction, data quality, profiling and metadata.
• Collaborating with Java Developers, QA engineers, Project Managers, Systems Architects, and Business Analysts throughout the project lifecycle.

Mandatory Skills To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Extensive experience of Ab Initio Metadata toolset.
• Experience of working with Hadoop and Big Data Platforms
• Strong deployment, development, design, software development lifecycle and support of ETL processes.
• Documentation and presentation skills
• Experience of using Express IT and development of new templates.
