Provide technical expertise to install, configure, upgrade, administer, monitoring and maintain corporate desk top, server infrastructure, networks and voice operational systems and services within the Council.
Work on a number of different large and diverse projects and incidents at the same time and work in a position of constant change and manage conflicting priorities and moving deadlines.
To support by assisting with the monitoring, maintenance and installation of systems to agreed standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Ensures all incidents are responded to and resolved within the agreed service levels.
Pay Rate: £16.86 per hour PAYE
This is a temporary, but possibly long term role.

“Essential Requirements” – Please check to ensure that your CV addresses the following items:

- Your recent UK working experience going back at least 5 years, or full employment history if you have been working for fewer years than this.
- Your availability to work either immediately, or at short notice.
- Qualifications:
- Microsoft MCSE qualified
- Degree or equivalent in IT
- Has attained ITIL Foundation
- Has attained MCP
- Has attained part of CCNA qualifications
- Has attained VMware certified professional qualification
- Knowledge Experience & Skills:
- Knowledge of Skype for Business
- Ability to teach / show users to get best use of Skype
- Previous experience of floor walking
- Has extensive knowledge of all aspects of PABX, VOIP, Window and Unix Servers and desktop devices
- Experience of providing training, advice and guidance to less experienced staff
- Managing small to medium sized complex and diverse technical projects and assignments
- Experience of leading problem groups and ensuring the issue is resolved.
- Extensive knowledge on administering core system such as
- Windows Active Directory
- Citrix
- PABX
- Wireless
- Network Switches
- Working in a high pressure and rapidly changing environment but remaining focused on delivery and adapting solutions to meet changing needs.

Anticipated Length of Assignment: All of our roles are technically temporary, though opening assignments can be and often are, extended by clients on a longer term basis and can sometimes become permanent. This opening assignment is for 3-4 months.
