4G / LTE SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Location: Crawley

Duration: Until 28th June 2019

Pay Rate: £40 - £56.10 per hour LTD

A client of ours seek a 4G / LTE Systems Engineer to work in Crawley to support the Integration Phase of an ACGC programme covering integration of the LTE Modem & System level verification Testing. This role also involves ETSI RF conformance test development, Test Validation & System level Verification and Testing.

Key Responsibilities

• To work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure the correct flow down of requirements and flow up of compliance evidence
• To work on ETSI test development, validation and formal testing
• To closely in support of the integration of a third-party LTE Modem into the Airborne UE
• To complete the generation of Test Cases and Scripts to test the solution for ACGC at LRU and System Level and to conduct the testing and generation of test reports and population of the Verification Matrix
• To support Programme Management in the identification, mitigation and closure of Dependencies, Risks & Opportunities

Proven Ability / Key skills

• Team player who can interface well with engineering and manufacturing teams
• Good knowledge of Mobile Communications Systems and Networks both current and future visions & trends. In particular knowledge of 4G and LTE are sought
• Proven ability on 4G/LTE User equipment conformance testing of RF and protocol specifications (3GPP TS 36.521/36.523)
• Proficient in debug, troubleshooting and failure analysis investigation for LTE end-to-end call flow both EPC and air interface
• Basic understanding of 3GPP specification and L1 / L2 procedures
• Ability to test and create test cases using equipment such as CMW500, signal generators and spectrum analysers
• Good understanding of Engineering Standards, engineering processes and maturity models
• Good Communications skills
