Our Edinburgh based Financial Services Client has an ongoing need for skilled Infrastructure Architects to join their team. A well known & respectable Investment Management / Asset Management organisation, the roles will be joining a busy & active Infrastructure stream, initial Contracts will be for 6 months (with extensions likely to follow) and will be based from our Client's City Centre Office.
Currently going through huge amounts of Change & a huge Integration Programme, the Client are looking for an experienced & cultured Infrastructure Architects with previous experience working on other large & complex programmes of work (ideally within other large Financial Services organisations) and broad technical expertise across a number of different Infrastructure Technologies.
To be successful in these roles, key skills & experience should include;
*** First class, high-calibre HANDS-ON Infrastructure Architecture knowledge & experience with strong understanding of high-level & low-level designs etc
*** Extensive knowledge & experience gained from within other large Financial Services Clients & Projects (ideally including some previous exposure Investments, Asset Management, Wealth Management etc)
*** A broad & in-depth Technical knowledge covering;
1)In-depth Server, Compute & Virtualisation technologies
2)A strong understanding of Storage technologies, including SAN architecture/design
3)Network, Firewall and Load Balancing Design considerations
4)End-User Computing/Workplace technologies with specific exposure to VDI would be ideal
5)Design-level understanding of SQL Server RDBMS resilience models
6)Exposure to hype-scale Public Cloud capabilities, e.g. Microsoft Azure
*** 1st class people, communication & organisational skills with the ability to work with multiple teams, stakeholders & 3rd parties
*** Excellent Stakeholder engagement & management skills - must be able to work across a range of levels & manage expectations accordingly
