UI/UX Developer 100% Remote 12-month contract with extensions
Responsibilities
Concept and design new UX and UI design prototypes
Evaluate research from multiple sources and identify connections to create the design of new digital experiences.
Present various design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels
Audit websites and provide recommendations for accessibility and usability improvements to stakeholders
Be an advocate for users and customers to influence stakeholder decisions
Qualifications
Recent experience in UX roles ~ 2+ years
Proven UX/UI experience with a strong portfolio
Proficiency with design and prototyping applications such as Sketch/Invision
Experience and/or familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Excellent visual design skills with a high sensitivity to user-system interaction
A broad understanding of web/mobile UI standards, usability, and practical experience in design and development of user interfaces for web and mobile applications
Experience with Agile Development preferred
5+ years of experience developing standards-based websites using valid, semantic markup for structure and CSS for layout
Required Skills/Experience
Detail-oriented work ethic with strong commitment to code quality
Prior experience in coding for reuse a plus
Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/Flexbox, SASS/SCSS
Javascript skills also desirable
Experience working with Gulp
Capable of working with Github in a team-based setting
Talent for debugging HTML, Javascript and CSS layout issues
Familiarity with browser-testing across multiple devices
Ability to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects
