• Worked on a customer-facing application to modify a React/Redux micro frontend to meet regulatory changes. This involved the consolidation of requirements, design, prototype and final development of a schema-driven form
solution to capture information from the customer seamlessly within the existing drawdown process. Also modified the back-office service to present the customer responses and audit logging and reporting flow. 

• Working on an internal greenfield application for pension protection information management comprising of a React frontend. Technology choices: React, Vite, React Context, React Router V6, React-Query, React Table and internal HL component library.

Duties include the development/maintenance of security-critical applications used at the ports by UK Border Force. I work daily with multiple professions (interaction/content designers, SME’s, business analysts and sister-project teams) in an agile manner. Applications comprise of React micro-frontends, TypeScript component libraries and Node/Java backends which leverage Amazon Web Services products including S3, RDS and EC2.

Due to my extensive Node.js and React knowledge, I’ve been asked to step in as a senior developer to help steer a struggling development project back on track so it can meet the deliverables.

Virtual Pricing Director

- Spearheaded taking the software live with three leading UK legal firms after joining when the product was far from ready, resulting in large revenues for the company and confidence in the product and development team.

- Rearchitected the integration process between legal firms' database views and our platform by introducing a new, generic "VPD Schema." This change resulted in savings of tens of thousands of pounds in development costs compared to the previous bespoke integration method.

- Implemented Agile development methodologies and code reviews. As a result, our team was able to deliver new features and enhancements to the platform much faster than before, and to a high standard, leading to customer confidence and a reduction in tech debt.

- Overhauled the hiring process (with rigorous screening) and onboarding process, which attracted top talent and enabled us to build a high-performing team at speed.

- Regularly liaised with IT departments of legal firms, helping to facilitate their integration with VPD and/or unblock them. This change helped to strengthen our relationships with our customers and enabled us to deliver better service and support.

Stagecoach (Megabus)

Stagecoach required a new, from the ground up, version of their already successful Megabus website. The new solution would leverage an existing SOAP service layer, to provide a new journey planning and ticket purchasing application, and also provide a CMS for content editors. I was brought in as a full-stack developer to help implement the Angular 4 web application, as well as developing the supporting Web API middle tier. The project was delivered using modern software development techniques (Agile etc..) .
